The Faculty of Information Technology at Monash University is seeking to appoint up to 6 outstanding emerging academics to support a major strategic investment in Digital Health. Digital Health is a major driver of innovation and reform globally, leading to deep and positive change in healthcare systems across the world. Monash University is well-placed to take a leading role in the future of Digital Health. It is part of a collaboration to build Australia’s leading heart hospital, the $500M Victorian Heart Hospital, which is being built on the Monash Clayton campus and is planned to include 6000 sqm of research space. Monash will soon also launch a major date infrastructure initiative, which will provide technical and facilities support for the over $70M annual health and medical research funding including digital health research. Monash is also a leading partner in the recently announced $200M Digital Health CRC, a 7 year R&D project, involving 80 organisations across Australia. The Faculty of Information Technology, with its world-leading research expertise in data visualisation, cybersecurity, data science, and human-computer interaction, is taking a leading role in these digital health initiatives.
The Faculty now wishes to appoint up to 6 exceptional academics to take an active role in the Digital Health agenda. These will be continuing level B/C teaching and research positions (equivalent to tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor). More senior appointments will be considered for suitably qualified candidates.

Candidates should have an ability to work across disciplines, in close collaboration with clinical researchers and industry partners.
